Our school building is built on two 80x60 sites. The class rooms are open and wide, brick arches welcome students and teachers alike. The building takes up a little more than half of the site and it has a basketball and badminton court on its left side and a sand pit on its right. The laboratory, library, kitchen, office and therapy room are the only rooms that have doors.

Our Library
Our library possesses many interesting books on a wide range of topics. Its newly covered vinyl floor and colorful cushions beckon many enthusiastic readers to the library. Soon we are going to purchase some new furniture for the library. It is situated on the upper level of the school and has a computer as well as books. It remains open throughout school hours and students are free to borrow a book whenever they like. The students are involved in choosing books to buy for our library and have formed an association, 'LWA' (Library Worker's Association) for taking care of the library. Each book has a number and category on the back cover and when a person borrow a book they write the date, book number and category and the title. After they return the book they drop it in a basket which is emptied by the LWA. This year Sharla, a parent at Poorna is volunteering as the librarian on some days of the week.
