New campus

Our Infrastructural Needs
Poorna trust owns a modest piece of property of approximately 15600 sq. ft. situated next to a farm near Yelahanka. The school constructed a new building on this plot, and we shifted the campus there in August 2007. The cost of design and construction was Rs. 41 lakhs and was executed by the Centre for Vernacular Architecture (http://vernarch.com/).

We have requested parents and well-wishers of the school to contribute towards construction costs and several have come forward with various offers, however further financial or other donations towards development of the new campus would be much appreciated. Given that fees may need to be increased, we hope that we will not need to reduce our facilities of providing subsidised or free education to some children, due to the costs of construction.

Any donations from the community would be greatly appreciated by all at Poorna. If you would like a detailed budget of construction costs, this can be provided on request. All donations are tax deductible.

You could also support us by

* instituting scholarships for children who would like to join us but require financial support in order to do so
* giving grants for books and equipment to support quality education
* equip our resource room to adequately support children with different learning needs
* any other mutually acceptable means

Cheques may be made payable to "Poorna" and you may specify the area in which you would like your contributions to be utilised.
