Visual Arts 10-11

Creativity among children develops from their experiences with the process of creation. Creativity is not to be confused with talent, or skill. Creativity is not about doing something better than others. It is about thinking, exploring, discovering, imagining and expressing oneself through visual depiction, through movement, playacting, singing, and writing.

Dear Parents,
Subject: Update on Annual Day.
By now you must have received the invitations for the Annual day.

Birds, Beasts and Kids!

On a rainy day, to keep them off the play ground , the children of the Diamond group were asked to describe any animal they liked and mention the kind of homes they lived in. Here are some of their responses:

I like dogs. Dogs live in kennels. There are more than 200 varieties of dogs. Dogs can be trained for different types of things. Some of them are in the circus, some catch thieves, and many guard houses. Dogs are really cute and such fun to play with! My dogs are really playful. I love my dogs.

Paradise Lost

The new building of Poorna was constructed in the countryside and far from the main city with the main purpose of giving us an opportunity to relate to our surroundings in a natural way. For the last one and half years, all that you could see on all sides of the school were several trees and thick shrubbery!

Auroville-a collection of narratives about our trip.

The students who went on the trip have written a few lines about their experiences during the trip:
